Volunteer

We rely on the generosity of volunteers to make Cornwall Pride possible.

If you would like to be part of our volunteer team we would love to hear from you.  Please consider filling in the form so we can get in touch with you.

Volunteering for Cornwall Pride usually centres around our elleven Pride events in town across the county.   We need help with:

  • Marshalling the Pride march,
  • Working behind the Cornwall Pride shop,
  • Selling drinks behind the bar,
  • Litter picking,
  • Pride event setup (erecting gazebos mostly!),
  • Event takedown,
  • Shaking the donation bucket,
  • First aid (training needed or provided),

Cornwall Pride's events take place on Saturdays and we welcome volunteers to stay all day or just a few hours, whatever suits you.

We provide drinking water and food vouchers to keep you going as well as £5 per volunteer towards the cost of travelling to the event.  In 2023 we introduced Tempo Time credits to reward volunteers with credits for time spent volunteering.

Volunteering is fun, fast paced and really rewarding.  We often have volunteers come back for event after event and you will be welcomed into our Pride volunteer family with open arms.

Volunteers are given these attractive pink florescent jackets so people attending Pride can quickly see the where the nearest helpful person is.

However, we all like to express ourselves differently and we actively encourage and support adding some personal touches to your Pride day outfit.

We want volunteering with Cornwall Pride to be a lot of fun. Through the rest of the year (outside of Pride season) we run social events for volunteers and there are usually other opportunities to get involved such as the bus tour or at partner events.
