Redruth Pride will take place on Saturday the 5th of July from 11am until 4pm. The pride event can be found in Victoria Park on Albany Road in Redruth.
The park is a large open green space maintained by the town council and has formal flower beds, mature trees and a band stand. It is the perfect place to hold a garden party.
Redruth Pride's theme is 'Garden Party'. There will be live music, refreshments and games to play. The party is intended to be family friendly and hopes to offer a refreshing, calm and safe space for members of the LGBTQ+ community in Cornwall.
We are delighted to announce that Jam First, Falmouth Student Union's Big Band will be performing a live concert on the band stand in the afternoon at Redruth Pride's Garden Party.
This will be followed by a second concert performed by Chris Hitchen's Sextet.
All of the music will be performed unamplified. Please feel free to bring blankets and deckchairs so you can sit and listen to the music.
We are providing lawn chairs for the musicians to sit on as well as chairs for anyone buying refreshments from the cafe.
We are running a cake stall and cafe at Redruth Pride. You will be able to buy tea and coffee as well as cakes and biscuits. All the proceeds go towards helping us run Redruth Pride.
There will be tables and chairs to sit at while you enjoy your refreshments and listen to the music.
We have also invited a face painter and a circus skills chap. Children and adults will be welcome to take part in the activities provided.
As is customary at Cornwall Pride events we are very happy to say a range of stall holders will be at Redruth Pride including:
