YAY! Cornwall is a youth group under the Intercom Trust, dedicated to supporting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Questioning individuals up to the age of 25 in Cornwall. They offer safe spaces for young people to connect, receive support, and engage in various activities.
What They Do
- Youth Groups: Regular sessions in Truro for different age groups, providing a safe and relaxed environment to meet peers, participate in activities, and discuss relevant issues.
- Drop-In Sessions: Opportunities for informal support and social interaction.
- Film Nights: Occasional screenings of LGBTQ+ themed films to promote discussion and community bonding.
- Trans/Gender Identity Sessions: Dedicated support for individuals exploring their gender identity.
- Issues-Based Sessions: Discussions on topics affecting young LGBTQ+ people in Cornwall.
