Ceilidh Dance Party Fundraiser

09 May 2026

Cornwall Pride are delighted to announce that Splann, Cornwall's leading Ceilidh band, will be playing for an evening of dance and music at the Princess Pavilions on Saturday the 9th of May in support of Cornwall Pride CIO.

£15.00 + booking fee, Tickets sold by See Tickets and Princess Pavilion, Falmouth.

The ceilidh will take place from 7:30pm - 10pm with a short interval on Saturday the 9th of May at the Princess Pavilion 41 Melvill Road, Falmouth, Cornwall TR11 4AR.

Come and dance the night away with friends to a live band and caller.  Every dance is 'called' so you know what to do. Ceilidhs are great fun, high energy and very sociable.

Splann are Cornwall's leading ceilidh band and have earned a reputation for putting on high-energy dances with traditional tunes.  We are thrilled that Splann have agreed to support Cornwall Pride amidst their busy programme including appearances at The Fisherman's Friends Festival, Boardmasters, Rock Oyster Festival and Sidmouth Folk Festival.

We welcome all to Cornwall Pride's fundraising ceilidh.  All profits from ticket sales will go directly to supporting the delivery of free Pride events in Cornwall, including Falmouth Pride, as well as our mental health provision. We will be using gender neutral calling throughout.

Splann's line up consists of a fiddle, accordion, guitar, drums and bass guitar with caller.  We're rolling out the Big Band for the ceilidh so expect big sound and music you can't help but move to from this superb local band.

What if I don't know how to ceilidh?

Don't worry, our caller Ellie will be there to get you up and dancing. Ellie is an experienced caller who is highly respected within the Ceilidh dance scene throughout Cornwall and Devon. Ellie will expertly lead you through each dance by demonstrating and talking to you through each dance before the band start playing. It could not be easier and everyone is welcome.

What if I do know how to ceilidh?

There will be dances you know to a range of Scottish, Irish and English folk tunes in a vibrant atmosphere.  Experienced and new ceilidh dancers are most welcome.
