Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions Sponsors Cornwall Pride 2022
Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS) has announced it is sponsoring Cornwall Pride 2022 as a Gold Partner. The sponsorship follows the launch of a new inclusion plan and aligns with the company’s commitment to community engagement, diversity and inclusion.
Cornwall Pride aims to promote and support equality and diversity on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity and romantic orientation. The charity’s series of events across Cornwall work to advance education, eliminate discrimination and support mental health around the LGBTQ+ community. Cornwall Pride 2022 is particularly significant as it will celebrate 50 years of Pride in the UK.
Watson-Marlow is fully aligned with the aims of Cornwall Pride 2022. Earlier this year, their parent company, Spirax Sarco Engineering plc. launched a new inclusion plan, ‘Everyone is Included’. The plan works towards building an inclusive and equitable workplace with a work culture that celebrates diversity and encourages everyone to be themselves.
The ‘Everyone is Included’ plan includes ten inclusion commitments, such as being a safe place to work for all LGBTQ+ people, wherever the company operates. To formalise this commitment, the group has signed the United Nations LGBTI Standards of Conduct for Business.
As a Gold Partner, Watson-Marlow will be holding a stall at the Cornwall Pride 2022 launch event in Falmouth on 7th May. In addition, Watson-Marlow plans to donate its other nine allocated stalls to local businesses, charities and community groups who do not have the finances to sponsor the event. Watson-Marlow will also be signing the Cornwall Pride Pledge, confirming the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
