Role Description:

Do you enjoy meeting others and find yourself regularly attending social events? Do you understand the impact of a great charity? Are you engaging and friendly, yet professional? If so, our Cornwall Pride Community Ambassador position could be perfect for you. We want someone who will have fun in this role, and who believes in our values.

The Cornwall Pride Community Ambassador will spend the majority of their time interacting with our community and potential partners at in-person networking events. Your primary task is to ensure our charity is consistently displayed and accessible to the local community. You would work to ensure our charity is viewed positively. 

In this role, you will report to the CEO & your Community Lead. Responsibilities will include:

• Engaging with the LGBTQ+ community and wider partner organisations in a professional and friendly manner
• Acting as a subject matter expert for our charity
• Actively promoting our charity 
• Recording local community feedback and relay it back to the leadership team
• Attend quarterly meetings with other ambassadors
• Attending events outside of office hours

Person Specification:

• Lived experience of being part of or ally to the LGBTQ+ community
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, warm personality
• Ability to work on a variable schedule
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently
